GCF Advanced - Promote YOUR specialist skills

The Guild launched the GCF Advanced Accreditation programme in 2001. It was developed as a flexible, modular scheme of learning enabling framers to demonstrate and promote a range of advanced framing skills and now offers three units: Mount Design and Function, Textile Framing and Conservation Framing.

Industry surveys show that skilled workers can charge more for their services so GCF Advanced qualifications will help to make your business more profitable.

As a GCF Advanced you can:

Demonstrate your specialist skills and consistent high quality of work
Raise customer awareness and confidence in your framing ability
Distinguish yourself from your competitors
Promote and publicise your GCF Advanced status
Enhance your Yellow Pages entry

As an employer use GCF Advanced to:

Provide an extension to a successful training programme
Assess the skills and aptitudes of staff

If you are employed in framing GCF Advanced will:

Confirm your ability to employers and customers
Give you a reputable standing in the industry

All Advanced GCF's receive a badge & certificate and are listed in the Guild Advanced GCF Online search

For all Advanced modules, you must be:

A GCF
A Guild Member
Experienced in the module chosen
Up-to-date with the specifics of materials, techniques and framing levels required
You must maintain your Guild Membership if you wish to promote your GCF Advanced status
